Good morning! Some rambling today about really living as a believer in Jesus Christ.
- In sum, we believers don’t live on our own strength.
- I, as a believer in Jesus Christ, REALLY live by His strength and not my own.
- A relationship with God happens by God’s doing.
- Jesus paid the penalty for sin, even though we think it right or best to earn forgiveness ourselves.
- So, no one can save themselves! Truth!
- What about maturing in faith? My responsibility, right?
- True in part, but no growth would ever happen without the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. See Galatians 5.
- What about serving, telling, teaching?
- Great question. All of these come through the leading and power of the Holy Spirit.
- The things of God, for the people of God, explained in the word of God, come only by the way of God. The minute mankind attempts to take credit for this we ruin it.
- We REALLY LIVE by the saving, leading, filling, and empowering of God!
- Practically: each morning we should pray renewed strength and use.
- Practically: each Sunday we should ask for the Spirit’s help.
- Practically: if we want to see others saved, we should seek the Spirit’s leading and empowering as we share.
