Rambling about God’s Word and favorite verses…

  • Do you have favorite verses?
  • God’s Word has special meaning to us, especially certain parts.
  • Some special verses have brought deep meaning through trial, joy, or suffering.
  • Exodus 14:13-14And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”
  • These verses have helped lead me to personal freedom and confidence that God desires victory over sin and the enemy.
  • Among other favorite verses I have: 2 Corinthians 4:8-9; Romans 8:18; all of Psalm 23.
  • Look at Romans 8:18: For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
  • I try to maintain and encourage in others an eternal perspective. It is not just a trite statement to say everything will be better forever.
  • Romans 8:18 is REAL TRUTH for times of trouble, no suffering able to match the glory coming. I call that real hope despite anything God may bring our way.
