Have you forgotten your New Year’s resolutions already?
Maybe so, maybe not. Maybe New Year’s doesn’t exactly thrill you.
But when did you last consider change?
I can guarantee you things will always stay the same if you never decide to improve. Never better, maybe worse. Always.
The connection to the Christian life? God desires change and growth.
And we don’t just sit back and wait for Him to make it happen. He invites us into the process.
So that pet sin you’d like to slay? The increase in patience with your kids? The ability to persevere in prayer one more month?
That person you’d love to reach for Jesus? That mission trip you’ve considered? The ministry you thought about joining or starting? The increase in giving you’ve begun to take to God in prayer?
That conflict you’d like to resolve? The relationship you’d like to strengthen? The forgiveness you’d like to exchange
None of it, once more, none of it, will ever happen. Unless, that is, you make a decision to pursue God’s grace and strength for better, different, more Christ-exalting.
