Sometimes I ramble about a topic. Sometimes I just ramble. Today is a day to just ramble…
- I remember last year at this point feeling suffocating.
- Last year it involved prom, final track meets, an expected training event, planing a graduation party, among other stuff.
- This year? Finishing one season of life while starting another. Add in the end of track season, a few special events, family happenings, and the suffocation has returned.
- Abide. Stay, dwell with Jesus.
- How amazing that in the busiest times of life the answer involves dwelling, spending slow time with someone not physically present.
- But yes! That time rewards. His words. Talking in prayer. Knowing we don’t have to manage everything ourselves. Jesus. Knowing God loves us so much. Such filling time!
- Another topic…How do you feel about world events? Exhausted? Overwhelmed?
- Inflation? War? Conflict? Division? The border?
- Events continue to spiral beyond our control. How about a reminder we cannot control in these situations?
- Take some time. Time with Jesus. Time with people you love, doing things you love.
- I don’t know about you but my days seem filled with this strange combination of desperate prayer and trying to enjoy each day as much as possible.
- In true rambling form…I really like Chocolate Carmel Cap’n Crunch and coffee shipped from Cafe Britt in Costa Rica.
- I’m excited about the NBA playoffs and I’m very casually following the baseball season.
- I’d be glad to pray for you today. Just let me know how! burkholder.kevin@gmail.com
