Challenging believers in Jesus to think and act based on Bible truth.

Tuesday Rambling 6.3.14 – No Sports Week, Finances

Let me ramble a bit about . . .

No Sports Week

  • This is a week several churches and individuals in our community have set aside for prayer. So, I decided to take a break from all interactions with sports this week.
  • I have noticed a VERY different rhythm of life. How helpful it has been to see the patterns that have developed and the time I put into engaging in the sports world.
  • I wouldn’t say it’s awful, but as an evaluation piece I know there are ways to structure my time more effectively.
  • If we say nothing else matters more than Jesus, then this exercise in discipline has revealed ways to stay focused!

  • This Sunday night our church is hosting a financial seminar.
  • If Jesus teaches more about finances than anything else, we should pay attention.
  • For me, giving is the #1 priority in the life of a believer. Above anything, we should learn giving as part of our rhythm of life and worship.
  • There are lots of practical and budgetary tips that believers can share with each other. So, as much as I’m leading/teaching, I’m also hopeful I can learn as well!
  • What is your biggest challenge when it comes to finances?
