So the actual voting began yesterday in Iowa. Time to ramble:

• We can learn many lessons from the Iowa caucuses.
• Short term results do not guarantee long term outcomes.
• Speculation will always exist. Always.
• Some will ignore the short term results when they should pay more attention.
• Many people will say one thing and vote another. The poll leader didn’t win.
• Starting well means nothing without finishing well.
• Many people paying attention in the short term have no interest in understanding the long term process.
• The candidates still in the race are only as good as the teams of strategists behind them.
• I wonder if you scanned here for the name for a particular candidate and now find yourself disappointed. Keep searching, you won’t find one!
• Jesus is king. Whoever wins this year’s election will serve under His authority.
