Let’s cut to the chase. Ramble on . . .
This Season
- This season of life is really an interesting one. One of the main themes of my life right now is God refining me and shaping me in specific ways.
- I am trying to discern exactly what that means, but I know I am learning a lot.
- Maybe the catch phrase would go something like this: Growth through trial.
- I could also point to an increase in peace with how to understand and process difficult things.
A Chance Encounter
- I ran into someone today that we used to know a long time ago.
- It was great to hear an encouraging story.
- There is no way I would have recognized the individual, but I definitely remembered once my memory got jogged.
- All of a sudden I didn’t feel so bad – I remembered the last name of a former youth ministry student I hadn’t seen in at least 10 years.
Politics Is Nasty
- If I’m ever talking about going into politics, talk me out of it!
- I heard a story today that someone in a vicious primary race took the picture of a bed-ridden family member in a nursing home for political gain against an opponent.
- At least, that’s how the accusation was communicated.
- Are you kidding me? Is that nasty or what?
