Tuesday Rambling 4.28.20 – Hidden Voices of the Pandemic
A bit of rambling featuring hidden voices of the pandemic:
- We have often heard wonderful stories of humans helping humans, of incredible sacrifice by front line workers, first responders, etc. Today, some rambling to give voice to some you may not hear.
- The small business owner struggling to know how their family’s and employee’s needs will be met.
- The person physically disconnected from their church, wondering about God’s presence in the midst of this suffering and hardship.
- The grandparents terribly missing their grandkids.
- The child sexual abuse victim now more available to their known predator.
- The domestic violence victim who doesn’t see more time at home as a good thing.
- Hungry children feeling desperate due to their parents’ selfishness or inability to get to available food.
- Children lagging farther behind in school work without home structure which demands they engage in their school work.
- The senior citizen genuinely concerned for their lives and health.
- Relationships strained over differing views regarding following suggested rules and guidelines.
- Maybe you’ve heard some of these voices. Maybe you haven’t.
- If one of these or a similar “hidden” voices belongs to you or someone you know, don’t hesitate to seek help.
- Ask a friend where to go for help, reach out for a conversation, process your stress, seek a pastor’s help.
- Reply through this website and I’ll be glad to do what I can to help or point you in the right direction.
