Okay folks.  Here’s another week’s edition.

LINK OF THE WEEK

This is a very interesting read from someone who is opposed to Christianity.  In it he clearly explains some of the good he sees in Christians.

THE CHRISTIAN FAITH

–You might have heard about the guy who prayed recently before a NASCAR race.  Now everyone knows about him.

–Here’s a great one – how to keep perspective when “living radically” is popular.  This article has some good thoughts on what it doesn’t mean.

–Some good thoughts on praying as you prepare for sermons or lessons you give.

SPORTS

Exactly why Cleveland should have traded for Jiminez.

BULLET THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

  • A great day with the family.  We left about 10:30 to go swim at a watermark.  We returned about 4:00 and had done all of about an hour of swimming.  Booo . . .
  • Related to the first bullet, Lexi gave the following gem of a quote while waiting for the pool to re-open.  Julie had just told her the weather lady said this morning that the day was looking good other than some showers perhaps in the morning, so Lexi responded: “I don’t like the weather lady.  She tells lies.”
  • It was sad to me – Lexi was truly heartbroken that we decided to leave early.  I hate it when she’s upset.
  • Have I ever mentioned here that I need prayer for wisdom?  Whew I wish I knew what to do all the time.
  • I am enjoying this series in Nehemiah.
  • I am praying today for the Tazig people.  What an awesome missionary presentation given to us last night!
  • Dear Brian Cashman – before yesterday your team was not good enough to win the World Series.  Today is no different!
  • I am sad that a friend and neighbor has moved to another part of the city.
  • This Sunday our foster daughter will turn one year old.  Thursday, we will pass the nine month mark of having her in our home.  Is this really possible?
  • 36 days in a row of training.  A couple more hard weeks then pray for the best!
