Challenging believers in Jesus to think and act based on Bible truth.

Monday Links and Bullets 1.16.12

Third Monday post of 2012 already.  Here are some good links:

WEEKLY LINKS

LINKS OF THE WEEK

A really good article about Tebow (some positives and negatives about the situation)

Something really stupid about Tebow.

THE CHRISTIAN FAITH

–A really good article about uncool people and churches.

An atheist recently died.  What can Christians learn from that?

SOME MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS

U.S. military urinating on dead Afghan bodies.  This raises many issues.

–I love it when young kids are really gifted.

–Some really good thoughts on how to organize your home.

BULLET THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

  • If we were all famous like Tebow is right now, would we be found to be as genuine as everyone says he is?
  • Is our view of God constantly getting bigger?
  • I love it when the Holy Spirit challenges me.
  • I am praying hard for Kenmore (the area of Akron we live in).  There is a concentrated prayer effort for our community going on this week.
  • I have two more online classes to take and then my foster parent license will be renewed for two more years.  Hallelujah!  Hoping to be done Tuesday.
  • Julie and I had a most outstanding retreat this past weekend.  We were able to have several meaningful conversations which should drive us forward in 2012 and make us stronger in family, marriage, and parenting.
  • I have a lot of respect for people who struggle for a long time and keep pressing on.
  • I need wisdom for some decisions!  Praying for that . . .
  • Growing Christians accept trouble and grow through it.
  • It is amazing to me to think how hard Satan works to keep the Word of God away from Christians.

Have a great Monday!
