What link got the most clicks from Monday’s post?

Apparently, there is some curiosity about Islam.  Check out this article: Ten things every Christian should know about Islam.

This is a great article.  Only a couple comments of my own.

1. If given the opportunity, do something.

A lady at our church developed a relationships with a Muslim woman simply by being in the same park walking.  She and her sister were generally in the same spot at the same time and got to know the woman and eventually were able to explain the truth of the Gospel to her.  Response is unknown at this point, but the idea is we should engage if given the opportunity.

2. I don’t think it’s rational to suspect that Muslims have bombs strapped to their chest.

The number of Muslims who have bombs strapped to their chest is very small when you look at the percentage.  I’m not trying to minimize Muslim violence, but I’m also convinced stereotypes can be harmful.

One of the points this article makes is about Muslims’ hospitality.  I don’t have personal experience, but I agree.  Many Christians are caught up in fear of Muslim attack or Muslim takeover.  I don’t want either of those things, but my identity as a Christian tells me that all I have to fear is the one who can destroy both body and soul in hell (Matthew 10:28).

Have a great weekend!
